Been wanting to try the restaurant ever since it opened and I finally got a chance! I ordered Pounded Yam with Egusi Soup and Goat Meat. When the food arrived I was thinking to ask for larger portion size, but after finishing was very glad I didn't. The pounded yam fills you up so much. My only thing I didn't like was that it was so hot inside; cool air would of been so welcoming. Nevertheless, I'll be coming back! Highly recommend

Great place to expand your horizons. Food was great. Rice is fairly spicy but good. Chicken was quite tasty but I had to ask for napkins because there weren't any provided and you need them because the chicken is messy. They were not very busy when I went at lunch time on a Tuesday. I'm pretty sure the waitress was the cook too. With rice being such a low budget food the meal was a little bit pricey. One thing I noticed was that the menu she gave me was laminated but needed to be cleaned. Overall it was a good experience.

Went here with my bestie today because we wanted to try out fufu for the first time! Everyone’s taste bud is different just to keep in mind, I ordered the fufu with a chicken rice plate and absolutely enjoyed the rice plate! The fufu to us personally wasn’t bad although we did experience an after taste but nothing too bad just threw us off. Besides the fufu everything else was so gooooddd! Loved the chicken so much, it was so tender and flavorful especially the greens that came along with the rice plate was the besttt and a nice pallet cleanse! The food did take a while to be brought out which honestly felt like 30mins or less but the customer service wasn’t bad! They were very friendly and checked up on us too. Restaurant was empty when we arrived but towards the end when dinner came more people did show up. I would definitely order the rice plate again or even something else different from this time because I do love their spices and want to try different options they offer, they were kinda pricey around $20 and up but portions aren’t too bad! Pretty much a good experience so definitely come try this out!

Go here for the food and leave your cultural biases at home. You probably won't get the Western idea of "service" here, however, if you are patient (or order ahead), inquisitive (I asked a ton of questions), and open to a new experience you'll be in for a treat. I didn't know what to expect--I've had other African foods--but I was surprised by the flavor combinations and richness of Nigerian food. Jollof rice is now my new favorite rice. The chicken was good and the greens were outstanding. Plantains were the best I've ever had. The star for me was the egusi soup with goat. SO good! Don't forget an order of eba to soak up that soup with. Drinks are in the cooler near the door. Get them yourself and let the chef work her magic.
